Peace is a state of harmony characterized by the lack of violent conflict. Commonly understood as the absence of hostility, peace also suggests the existence of healthy or newly healed interpersonal or international relationships, prosperity in matters of social or economic welfare, the establishment of equality, and a working political order that serves the true interests of all.

In international relations, peacetime is not only the absence of war or conflict, but also the presence of cultural and economic understanding and unity.

Peace of mind

Inner peace (or peace of mind) refers to a state of being mentally and spiritually at peace, with enough knowledge and understanding to keep oneself strong in the face of discord or stress. Being “at peace” is considered by many to be healthy homeostasis and the opposite of being stressed or anxious. Peace of mind is generally associated with bliss and happiness.

Peace Movement

Aaghaz Foundation has launching many campaigns with a core intention to achieve ideals such as the ending of a particular war (or all wars), minimize inter-human violence in a particular place or type of situation, often linked to the goal of achieving world peace. Means to achieve these ends usually include advocacy of pacifism, non-violent resistance, diplomacy, boycotts, moral purchasing, supporting anti-war political candidates, demonstrations, and lobbying to create legislation.

We thought that if we expect to have peace, then we should try to achieve peace as a family, a society and finally the whole country. Then automatically the country will achieve peace and harmony. Greed and Selfishness always start a war, instead of serenity.

We should also need to take small steps that will encourage children to recognize the importance of peace and the understanding that one person can make a difference, as well as steps that will spread global awareness of Peace and harmony.

Fundamentalism leads Extremism

Fundamentalism is a religious position typically characterized by a rigid adherence to what are perceived to be the most basic and traditional principles and beliefs of that religion.

Fundamentalism is largely a phenomenon of the 21th century. In many parts of the world it has been deeply conditioned by the breakup of colonial empires and the founding of new, independent nations. We considered that they are the descendants and preservers of longstanding traditions, we should not regard them as contemporary manifestations of something left over from the distant past. However the distinctive feature of fundamentalism is its dialogue with modern culture.

War Never Brings Peace

If all human beings love each other and contented with what they have, there will be no space for war. War ruins a country and its people. Once a war comes to an end that country would lose its beauty and for people, it will take years and years to come back to its earlier position which was so beautiful with all its splendor. It’s in the hands of all human beings to live a religious, unselfishness and take life to care for others.

Broadly speaking there are two types of happiness and suffering, mental and physical, and of the two, A.F believe that mental suffering and happiness are the more acute. Hence, I stress the training of the mind to endure suffering and attain a more lasting state of happiness. However, Aaghaz Foundation also has a more general and concrete idea of happiness that can just only occur in peaceful environment.
